About me

Born in Armidale, raised in metropolis, worked, travelled , sought, found, lost, regained, procreated and survived. I live with a lifelong mental illness, sometimes it kicks my butt but it has shaped the lens through which I experience and view the world. I am neurodvergent into the mix, a proud father and partner. This is an evolving body of work that draws from that lived experience, the fear, the hopelessness, the persistence, the remedies and the connection to wild places that will bring grounding where nothing else can.

The land surrounding Canberra, the Brindabella, Bimberi wilderness, Namadgi and on the the main range of the Snowy mountains have become deeply ingrained in me and hold the keys to recovery.

I would like to acknowledge the Ngunnawal people, the traditional custodians of the land on which I reside and take inspiration from their custodianship of this land. I extend my gratitude for sharing this with me and maintaining the clear streams, forests, swamps, monoliths and peaks. This land was never ceded and will always be yours.

Art has been part of my journeys of recovery for a long time, it carried me through living homeless, through hospitalizations, therapeutic communities and channels what is often negative into hopefully a piece of inspiration, a shared place to get grounded and is always there even if the wheels fall off. I hope you enjoy my works.
